Barn Hunt Open Workshops
Sat 9th November & Sat 7th December
Service Description
Our Open workshops are suitable for all experience levels. Runs will be tailored to you and your dog, using a course designed to mix Novice and Open level elements. This fast-paced sport involves working as a team to locate a tube with a rat* hidden inside. Your dog will have to traverse a network of hay bales, obstacles and tunnels, ignore the decoy tubes, and you'll have to learn to read your dogs signals to make sure you call out the correct find! Brand new ratters will have a go at our Instinct cradle and get familiar with the main elements of Barn Hunt, tunnels and climbs. These workshops are great for dog-handler teams who have had a go at Barn Hunt and would like to progress their skills, with challenging obstacles and extra difficulty factors such as multiple rats and timed runs! Constellation Dog Training are proud to be the official Barn Hunt UK Instructors for Staffordshire, and we'd love to show you this amazing sport. *Please note - we do not use live rats and all rats are sustainably sourced from reputable reptile feed stores. The dog and handlers NEVER come into contact with the rat.
