Rural/Aged Trails - Hanchurch Woods

Service Description
This is a longer 4-hour workshop dedicated to practising aged trails and more difficult criteria such as scent discrimination or single/double blind trails in a rural location. We will be parking on Harley Thorn Lane/Hanchurch Woods car park and trailing from there. Someone will be with the vehicles at all times. PLEASE BRING: - Water for your dog - A suitable harness, preferably Y-shaped - unfortunately we cannot accept dogs for mantrailing wearing only collars as it is unsafe - Suitable footwear such as walking boots - A long line (not a Flexi lead) - we recommend a grippy one over fabric or biothane - 3 Scent articles in individual ziploc bags - ideally fabric such as microfibre towels, long socks, tea towels, a t shirt, scarves etc - 6 small pots of your dogs favourite treat, ideally something lickable - such as pate, cat food, wet food, raw food, squeezy cheese, peanut butter etc - or if your dog is toy motivated, their favourite toy Dogs are worked one at a time, so please only bring your dog if they are comfortable left in a vehicle. Someone will be with the vehicles at all times.

You are able to reschedule a workshop with minimum 24 hours notice provided that there is space on an appropriate future walk. Please let us know if you want to reschedule.​ If we have to cancel a mantrailing workshop for any reason, we will provide either a refund or an alternative place. Refunds will be made at our discretion and decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, the outcome of which will be final. ---- Reactive dogs are welcome to join Mantrailing workshops. We reserve the right to excuse dogs that are not suitable for Mantrailing or to request that your dog leaves the session if it is unsuitable for them on the day. All dogs must be kept under control and on lead at all times unless under specific instructions from a trainer. Dogs that are reactive to people or have shown any aggressive behaviour are required to wear a muzzle. You are responsible for your own dog, and the actions and outcomes of their behaviour. We will not accept any responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to any persons or dogs attending a training service or to any persons property during the provision of our service. Owners are advised to have pet insurance that covers at a minimum third party liability insurance. ---- Your dog must be fit and healthy, free of fleas and parasites, and have received all relevant vaccinations or have evidence of immunity via titre testing. You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog. Do not bring your dog to class if it is unwell, in season, or has a contagious illness (such as kennel cough or gastroenteritis).
